Remarkable Events

In order to implement the spirit of the important speeches made by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the symposium on the decisive victory in poverty eradication and the National Education Conference, to promote the main battlefield of poverty alleviation to become the classroom of Building Morality and building people's Congress, to educate and guide young students to consciously integrate personal development and growth into the national goal of two hundred years, the Glorious Sun School of Business and Management organized the first Creative Public Welfare  Marketing Competition of Donghua University, whose theme was Decisive victory · creative marketing · smart poverty alleviation, was held at 1:00 p.m. on October 13 in the 400 Lecture Hall of the Rising Sun Building. More than 80 students from 13 teams from School of Management, School of Humanities, School of Fashion and Art Design participated in this competition.

The final of the competition invited Wang Lihua, the second-level researcher of Yunnan Economic Cooperation Office in Shanghai, Li Jun, chairman and general manager of Shanghai Donghua Jingyue Asset Management Co., Ltd, Zhang Haisheng, deputy director of Academic Affairs Office of Donghua University, Ma Xin, deputy director of Student Affairs Office of Donghua University, Qin Zefeng, deputy director of student employment service center of Donghua University, Shao Nan, deputy secretary of Youth League Committee of Donghua University and other guests served as judges. Lin Wenwei, Secretary of the Party committee of the school of management, Ding Yi, deputy secretary of the Party committee of the school of management, and Yang Shuai, vice president of the school of management, Liu Dongsheng, director of the Department of Business Administration of the school of management, Shen bin, director of the Department of management science and engineering of the school of management, and Hua Rui, Student Affairs Office of the school of management, were invited to attend. 

At the beginning of the final, Lin Wenwei , Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Management delivered a speech for the competition. Mr. Lin said that the teachers of the college have been doing their best to promote the construction of curriculum thinking and politics, taking the fight against poverty as an important part of national education and thinking about the new way of three-wide education. This Creative Public Welfare marketing competition is a good opportunity for young students to participate in the national poverty alleviation work, encourage students to give full play to their professional skills, actively explore the innovation and effectiveness of marketing for poverty alleviation, integrate their personal development into the national goal, and become the new man of the times who has the courage to take charge and dare to create.

Speech by Secretary Lin Wenwei

The final competition was held simultaneously in two groups, The participating teams carried out activity planning, platform operation and product design around the characteristic agricultural product Yanjin black bone chicken in Yanjin, Yunnan. On the basis of full understanding and investigation of Yanjin black bone chicken, the teams adopted a variety of innovative, creative marketing and cultural tourism methods, such as cloud chicken game, food show flash store, chicken + brand co-branding , Yanjin Chicken Tourism and Culture Festival, etc., to enhance the brand awareness of Yanjin chicken and help it fly out of Yanjin. After the defense, one Grand Prize, two First Prizes, six Second Prizes and four Third Prizes were finally selected after careful discussion by the judging teachers.

Finally, Wang Lihua from Yunnan Economic Cooperation Office in Shanghai shared her personal experience and experience in poverty alleviation for many years, proposing that the sales of agricultural products need to be opened in an innovative way, and the effectiveness of wisdom in poverty alleviation can stand the test of the market, encouraging more students to join the team of poverty alleviation in the form of practice, giving full play to personal creativity and wisdom, helping agricultural products to open the sales and become bigger and stronger.

On the occasion of the seventh National Poverty Alleviation Day, the first Creative Public Welfare marketing competition of Donghua University was successfully held, which is of great significance for young students to understand the history and situation of the country and the historical mission of fighting and winning the battle against poverty. On the road of the last kilometer to build a well-off society, young people should bear the heavy responsibility, create and strive hard to help the poor with wisdom and win the battle.
